The Marine Layer is Moving In

This is an extremely low resolution movie for a quick download. For a higher resolution movie (maybe you have DSL?) click here

This time-lapse movie was shot at 1 frame per minute for 107 minutes. Even though I used a tripod, pushing the digital camera's button caused some jiggling among the various frames.

The high altitude clouds in the morning are receding Southward. From time to time there’s a glimpse of the clouds in the lower altitude marine cloud layer which are simultaneously approaching from the South. Near the end of the clip, the more prominent marine layer clouds dominate the scene and it looks as if the movie is suddenly playing in reverse! But, it is still playing forward normally.
